This campaign will add a 10 acre parcel & almost 28,000 sq. ft.

THE LAND

Recent circumstances will allow us to purchase the existing Jacksonville Adventist Academy which sits across the street from our current campus.  This property adds a 10 acre parcel and almost 28,000 sq. ft. to our campus, giving us a total of 29 acres for the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical growth of our students.  We believe God has presented this opportunity in His timing and we are walking faithfully forward.

The Prepare for Rain campaign is intended to raise $7,400,000 for this harvest. This phase secures the property for our independent high school and gives our lower school the freedom to reach its potential in an ample, age-appropriate designed environment.  Our mission is specific and our vision is clear. Now is the time to Prepare for the Rain that will expand our territory to allow for a 1,000+ Mandarin Christian School student body.

New High School Campus

The acquisition of this property allows us to expand into larger classrooms that are contiguous within subject area, as well as, dedicated rooms for subjects such as foreign language.  It is the ideal solution to providing separate space for our high school program, while capitalizing on the connection to the entire MCS family.

Our curriculum affords students the opportunity to benefit from an assortment of team sports and related activities that encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.  Included in this campaign is the further development of our “Field of Dreams.” This phase will afford permanent stadium seating, lights, concessions and rest rooms.  Future expansion allows for growth across the campus and the addition of another athletic field for our growing baseball program.

Additional phases of our campaign are intended to provide the new high school with its own cafe, library, science labs, fine and performing arts classrooms, and chapel. With undeveloped acres to work with, expansion of this facility holds great potential for the growth and development of our high school students.

RENOVATIONS to LOWER CAMPUS

With the creation of the new high school, Mandarin Christian School will be able to convert existing high school classrooms into additional space for the elementary and middle school, which will help preserve smaller class sizes and space improvements.  We will return to the proven formula of kindergarten and 1st grade facilities housed in permanent buildings which afford closer pick-up and drop-off.

Both the elementary and middle schools will have dedicated science labs and separate media centers.  Middle school will remain in a separate area from elementary school, with the freedom to be themselves without the pressures of on-looking high school students.

The current deck area used for high school will become an area for elementary school activities.  Our grade-level classrooms will be contiguous, and our teachers will gain storage space.  Finally, we will go from having five grades to only two housed in our newly refurbished portables.

Again, we thank you for your support. It is vital, uplifting, and genuinely appreciated.
